 మోహన్ బాబు  ఇప్పటికి సినిమా ఇండస్ట్రీ లో ఆయన ప్రస్థానం మొదలుపెట్టి 45 ఏళ్ళు పూర్తి చేసుకుంది. ఆయన సినిమాల్లో హీరోగా, విలన్ గా, కమెడియన్ గా నటించి ప్రేక్షకాదరణ పొందారు.  1975 లో స్వర్గం నరకం సినిమాలో దర్శక రత్న దాసరి నారాయణరావు గారు మోహన్ బాబు ను వెండి తెరకు పరిచయం చేశారు. సినిమాల్లో కి రాక ముందు ఆయన పేరు భక్త వత్సలం నాయుడు. ఒక స్కూల్లో డ్రిల్ టిచర్ గా పని చేస్తూ సినిమాల్లో అవకాశలకు ప్రయత్నం చేస్తుండగా, స్వర్గం నరకం సినిమాతో ఆయనకు అవకాశం వచ్చి అప్పటి నుండి ఒక విలక్షణ నటుడి గా వెలుగుతున్నారు.  ఆ తరువాత ఆయన వెను తిరిగి చూసుకోలేదు. శివరంజని, గౄహ ప్రవేశం, పాలూ, నీళ్ళు, పట్నం వచ్చిన పతివ్రతలు వంటి హిట్ సినిమాలు చేసారు. ఆ తర్వాత అల్లుడు గారు, అసెంబ్లీ రౌడీ, రొడీ గారి పెళ్ళాం, బ్రహ్మ, అల్లరి మొగుడు, సోగ్గాడి పెళ్ళాం, ఎం ధర్మ రాజు ఎం ఏ, డిటెక్టివ్  నారద, అల్లరి పోలీస్, మేజర్ చంద్రకాంత్, అడవిలో అన్న, అన్నమయ్య, యమ దొంగ వంటి హిట్ సినిమాలు చేసి ప్రేక్షకుల ప్రశంసలు పొందారు. ఒకానొక సందర్బం లో వరుసగా ఆయన సినిమాలు హిట్ అవ్వడం తో ఆయనకు కలెక్షన్ కింగ్ అని పేరు కూడా వచ్చింది. ఈ మధ్య ఒక డబ్బింగ్

It is well known that Mohan Babu is in a plan to do a film Ravana Brahma. He approached Sridevi veteran heroine for the role of Mandodari. She charged 1.5 crore for that. Initially they hesitated to pay that and now sources say that the producer is ready to pay that amount to Sridevi.

Manchu Vishnu's recent flick were flops and Hero is pinning all his hopes on his next flick. The flick was launched silently and titled as 'Vastadu Naa Raju' resembling the famous song 'Vastaadu Naa Raju..Raane Vastadu Nelaraju' from 'Alluri Seetha Ramaraju' film. The film is being produced by himself under his newly established Production house '24 Frames' banner. Hemanth Madhukar is doing his Directorial debut with this flick. It is heard that Veronica is overseeing all the production work for the first time. Tapsee is the Heroine and Manisharma is the Music Director.

Collection King Mohan Babu is all set to make a film on Telangana if everything goes as per planned. The film will not deal with the statehood issue but would focus on how Multinational Companies in the name of SEZs, are exploiting the situation there, as per sources. The film is expected to go on sets in November this year.

Actor Mohan Babu on Wednesday lashed out at the Telugu Film Producers’ Council for failing to take measures to control piracy. “Hardly anyone takes interest in the matter. The council is a waste. It is left to individual producers to tackle the menace for their own films,” he told the media on Wednesday. His tirade follows the recent release of a film titled ‘Jhummandi Nadham’ produced by his daughter Lakshmi Prasanna even as the market was flooded with pirated CDs of the movie.
