 మోహన్ బాబు  ఇప్పటికి సినిమా ఇండస్ట్రీ లో ఆయన ప్రస్థానం మొదలుపెట్టి 45 ఏళ్ళు పూర్తి చేసుకుంది. ఆయన సినిమాల్లో హీరోగా, విలన్ గా, కమెడియన్ గా నటించి ప్రేక్షకాదరణ పొందారు.  1975 లో స్వర్గం నరకం సినిమాలో దర్శక రత్న దాసరి నారాయణరావు గారు మోహన్ బాబు ను వెండి తెరకు పరిచయం చేశారు. సినిమాల్లో కి రాక ముందు ఆయన పేరు భక్త వత్సలం నాయుడు. ఒక స్కూల్లో డ్రిల్ టిచర్ గా పని చేస్తూ సినిమాల్లో అవకాశలకు ప్రయత్నం చేస్తుండగా, స్వర్గం నరకం సినిమాతో ఆయనకు అవకాశం వచ్చి అప్పటి నుండి ఒక విలక్షణ నటుడి గా వెలుగుతున్నారు.  ఆ తరువాత ఆయన వెను తిరిగి చూసుకోలేదు. శివరంజని, గౄహ ప్రవేశం, పాలూ, నీళ్ళు, పట్నం వచ్చిన పతివ్రతలు వంటి హిట్ సినిమాలు చేసారు. ఆ తర్వాత అల్లుడు గారు, అసెంబ్లీ రౌడీ, రొడీ గారి పెళ్ళాం, బ్రహ్మ, అల్లరి మొగుడు, సోగ్గాడి పెళ్ళాం, ఎం ధర్మ రాజు ఎం ఏ, డిటెక్టివ్  నారద, అల్లరి పోలీస్, మేజర్ చంద్రకాంత్, అడవిలో అన్న, అన్నమయ్య, యమ దొంగ వంటి హిట్ సినిమాలు చేసి ప్రేక్షకుల ప్రశంసలు పొందారు. ఒకానొక సందర్బం లో వరుసగా ఆయన సినిమాలు హిట్ అవ్వడం తో ఆయనకు కలెక్షన్ కింగ్ అని పేరు కూడా వచ్చింది. ఈ మధ్య ఒక డబ్బింగ్

Actor and Producer Mohan Babu is planning to establish India's 1st Music University in Tirupathi in collaboration with Music Maestro Illayaraja. Mohan Babu and Illayaraja were seen in Tirumala on Monday for offering prayers to Lord Venkateshwara. After offering Prayers, Actor and Music Director addressed Media saying that there hasn't been any University in India that offers only Music and they are planning to establish the University. Mohan Babu said that Illayaraja will guide the university and shares his wonderful knowledge of music with the younger generation.

Collection King Mohan Babu is all set to appear as Hero again on Silver screens very soon. Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna is planning for a film titled 'Vivekananda' with her father in lead role. It is heard that film will be in the backdrop of Politics and will say what Vivekananda would say if he was there in the present generation. Lakshmi Prasanna expecting 'Vivekananda' will score a hit like 'Assembly Rowdy'.

Vishnu's 'Vasthadu Naa Raju' and Nagarjuna's 'Gaganam' films released on the same day. While 'Gaganam' got critically acclaimed 'Vasthadu Naa Raju' has been rated average. 'Gaganam' producer is coming up with a variety publicity to pull the crowd into Theatres but Trade sources revealed that there is not change in collections it seems. 'Vasthadu Naa Raju' film is lacking the Publicity and Collections are also very dull, so film theatres are looking to remove film in second week it seems.

It is said that due to disputes between Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna and her brother Vishnu Vardhan, Vishnu asked LP to live seperate it seems. Currently Lakshmi Prasanna is living in a seperate Apartment located in Manikonda. It is heard that Mohan Babu is supporting his daughter and Manoj also wants to leave the house and be in his friend's Apartment it seems.

Superstar Rajnikanth has celebrated his 61st Birthday in Collection King Mohan Babu's residence. It is heard that Mohan Babu and his family has received Rajni day before yesterday in Shamshabad Airport and taken him to their house. Both Rajni and Mohan Babu are close friends and have struggled for offers in films in late 70's. Rajni who prefers to be away celebrations has not looked for his fans this time too.
