Tamil superstar Rajinikanth returned to Chennai Wednesday night, nearly one-and-a-half months after he flew out to Singapore for medical treatment. The actor was accompanied by his wife Latha Rajinikanth and two daughters - Aishwarya and Soundarya. Rajinikanth was discharged from the hospital last month but he continued to remain in the island country for periodic check-ups and to get sufficient rest. On May 13, he was admitted to the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre here with fever and fluid retention following acute gastro-intestinal and respiratory problems. He was discharged from hospital May 28.
