Superstar Rajnikanth has been admitted in Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre Hospital for further treatment. Sources said that Rajni is being treated in ICU and his health condition is stable. Meanwhile there is a buzz that Rajini may undergo a kidney transplant and the doctors are assessing whether Rajinikanth requires a kidney transplant or not. But as of now there is no official announcement on this.

Rajnikanth in hospital again Superstar Rajnikanth was admitted to Sri Ramachandra Hospital and is being treated by special team headed by Dr. Tanikachalam. He has already undergone two minor surgeries for removal of duodenal ulcers and lung fibrosis. He was asked to rest for few days but yesterday night once again Rajnikanth has complained problems in breathing for which he was taken to ICU again. Hospital sources revealed that Rajnikanth's two kidneys are not functioning well and Superstar is undergoing frequent dialysis which is further increasing the fatigue. However, Doctors said to Media that Rajnikanth is stable and doing well.

Superstar Rajnikanth, who got admitted in St. Isabel Hospital due to fever and allergic bronchitis is going to be discharged in a day, says Hospital sources. It is heard that Superstar will leave to US after discharging from Hospital for a Holiday trip and for treatment. Noted Political Columnist of Tamil Nadu R.Rajagopalan tweeted, "Rajinikanth may leave for US for treatment. Permissions and travel documents are being readied. Rajini seeks Delhi assistance".
